THAT's what it'll be. Parse-O-Rhythm 1.3: the EVIL update! Malicious, even! Almost as evil as.. MY SLEEP SCHEDULE!! MWA HA HA HAAAA!!
Welcome back to another devlog! In all seriousness, the reason this devlog is extra EVIL is because it introduces a new feature:
Anti-Data mode
Anti-Data mode is a small new feature coming to 1.3, which will allow you to invert your parser's color from white to black. You'll still keep the same slashing colors, but your parser will become far more.. sinister...

This feature was suggested on the Discord, and its main purpose is to improve parser visibility in levels - sometimes, levels can get so shrouded in color and light that it's hard to see the parser. Making the parser absorb all light heavily negates this effect and allows you to see it better during gameplay!

You can also just turn it on if you like the aesthetic choice. This feature will also invert custom parser characters as well, whenever they are added to the game!
Achievements.. update?
I don't really want to reveal what all of the achievements will be (though a couple may be leaked before 1.3's launch), but this week some experimenting was done and I think we ended up with really good achievement frames:

These are colored for the different albums in the game, but they'll also be used for several other, unrelated achievements. don't expect all of the achievements to be about the albums!
Controller update????????
Oof.. I've come to learn that we attempted to release all of 1.2, along with requesting an engine hotfix, right as the engine is nearing the end of the development for a super huge update. So, as for when controllers will be fixed: I really don't know! I still am doing my best to help it happen quickly, but Parse-O-Rhythm is one game among many, many others that use the engine, and it's not like everything should just be dropped for our assistance.
That being said, hopefully some time from the engine's developer can be allocated to solving the problem - despite the distance between 1.2 part 1 and now, we're still working on it!
Thanks for reading as always. Catch you next week!
