Greetings fellow Necromancers!
We've had some feedback from players that it's easy to get stuck without a way to win (you really need to make sure you have at least 1 offensive-style Monster on your team, and keep it alive!).
Nosgum has heard this feedback, and it's angry. So angry infact, its learned a new Move:
0 - Revenge (OFFENSIVE)
Deal Damage equal to the amount of HP your monsters have restored this turn.
Now if you prefer to play stall strategies with Nosgum as your starter, you can still punch hard!
Time for Revenge.
Other balance changes:
- Hold Tight no longer applies Exposed to the user.
In the demo version of NFAW, Wrap is much less prevalent. As such, there's no need for Hold Tight to have any drawback. If you get this with Geckalik, go nuts (it's a great way to complete the 99 Damage challenge & unlock a new Monster!).
- Planning to Plan now only gives 2 AP, but doesn't disable any Moves.
We want people to have fun in the demo, and be excited about the Move Tomes they find, so Planning to Plan is losing its drawback, but giving a little less AP (from 3 to 2).
Let's see what you can do with it! There's a particular unlockable Monster (that requires you to deal 99 Damage with a single hit), that could be broken with this version of Planning to Plan, but let's see what happens!
What's next?
Over the next week we're planning to add some more enemies to the demo version, and rejig how the enemy encounters work a little.
At the moment you can encounter any enemy at any time (except the first battle which will always be against a single Monster), so it can be a little punishing for new players if they encounter a tough fight early.
For our more experienced players, the full version will contain harder difficulties so don't worry! We're just trying to get the basics down here so we can have NFAW appeal to as many people as possible.
As always, we welcome your feedback!
Happy reanimating,
- QuietPenguin
