This mini-update is packed with highly-anticipated improvements, new content, and fresh customization options to enhance your journey into darkness. We’ll be back soon with the exact release date, but for now, here’s a taste of what’s coming:
Art Style Update: A Fresh Look for All Our Villains
After previewing Rend Warbringer’s new look, we’re thrilled to reveal that all of our villains are getting a major visual update!

With enhanced details and a darker, more immersive style, each character now embodies the sinister energy that defines Undead Onslaught. Your feedback has been invaluable in this transformation, and we can’t wait for you to see the revamped lineup!
New Feature: Shrine of Eternal Strife
At the start of each run, players can now interact with the Shrine of Eternal Strife to modify the difficulty of their journey.
This ancient and ominous shrine allows you to customize the intensity of your run by adjusting three key parameters:
Onslaught Accumulation – Increase the rate at which Onslaught Levels are gained, accelerating the intensity of the run.
Onslaught Level – Set the starting and minimum Onslaught Level, ensuring a constant and challenging baseline of difficulty.
Madness – Control the frequency of tougher, “Blessed” enemies. These elite foes drop increased rewards but present formidable challenges, demanding precise strategy and skill.
The Shrine of Eternal Strife taps into your collected Skulls resource to empower these adjustments. Skulls aren’t consumed by the shrine, but the more Skulls you invest, the stronger the shrine’s effects become. Each villain has their own capacity for how many Skulls they can harness, allowing for unique scaling of the shrine’s power based on their strength and experience.
Prepare for a run tailored to test the very limits of your villain’s power and adaptability!
New Passives: Customize Your Builds
In this update, we’ve added new passives to enhance your villain builds even further! With these fresh options, you can tweak your playstyle and strengthen your favorite abilities, making each run even more personalized and powerful.
Upgrade Scroll Improvements
We’ve added more flexibility to Upgrade Scrolls! Now you’ll find even greater choices for enhancing your abilities and building unique, overpowered combos. We can’t wait to see how you use these changes to unleash even more chaos!
Steam Features: Game Recording & Achievements
This update also brings some fantastic new Steam features:
Steam Game Recording: Capture your most intense battles and epic moments.
Steam Achievements: Unlock milestones as you progress and collect bragging rights along the way!
