Greetings Pioneers of Venusville! 🚀
In our upcoming Alpha 2.0 Demo update (and the Prologue), we’re introducing a brand-new building: the Scanner Tower.
🛰 What is the Scanner Tower?
The Scanner Tower acts as your city’s radar and atmospheric scanner, giving you vital information about the Venusian skies and the dangerous world below.
Range: Scan up to 100 km (60 mi) around your flying city.
Depth: Penetrate up to 10 km (6 mi) into the atmosphere beneath you.
Upgrades: Extend both range and depth as your city advances.
🔍 What can it detect?
With upgrades, the Scanner Tower will reveal:
Weather & Atmosphere: wind speed, storm activity, and hot zones.
Resources: higher concentrations of rare gases like H₂O, SO₂, FeCl₃, H₂, and O⁺, which can be harvested more efficiently.
Anomalies: mysterious signals and unknown phenomena waiting to be explored.
👷 Operation
The Scanner Tower isn’t fully automated—it requires a worker from your Control Centre to operate it effectively, adding another layer of management to your growing city.
The Scanner Tower will be available in the Alpha 2.0 Demo update and in the Prologue, giving you new strategic tools to survive and thrive above the Venusian clouds.
Stay tuned, and as always—thank you for helping shape Venusville! 🌠
