The playtest for Recursive Riftfall is now public, and the demo is imminent. The game is taking part in February next fest which begins the 23rd, so the game is in urgent need of playtesters to smooth out any rough edges it may have before the demo release. Postponement is not an option. The time has come to have this game’s release date behind me, for better or worse. It needs to come out, no matter the state or the marketing momentum, and I want it to be as absolutely stellar and bug-free as it can be when that time comes.
What can you do?
Download and play the game. It’s a development build, so red error messages may pop up. These are bugs. There is a button with the message that lets you open this log. If you open the log, copy the paragraph block of text that generated the red error message in-game, and paste it to me somehow, that is immensely helpful. You can paste it as a comment on this community post, join the discord and put it there, DM me on discord or bluesky, add me as a friend on steam and message me - whatever is the easiest and simplest for you. A note about what you were doing at the time is an extra layer of helpful. There is a way on my end to automate a large part of this process and make it smoother for you, generating more bug reports for me. I don’t have the time to figure that out at the moment.
Thanks, and I hope to see you in the game.
