Hey Club Members,
2025 is over, and it's been a crazy year! We released several side stories, celebrated our first anniversary, and concluded the "I Wanna Be A Game Dev!" story with the release of the expansion. We couldn't have done any of it without your support, so thank you all so much!
Game Updates
As stated above, we released the DLC for IWBAGD this month, and we've loved hearing all your thoughts and takeaways from the conclusion to our story! The DLC didn't just conclude this chapter of Neku's story, but also several quality of life features, bug fixes, and more. If you want to see what exactly was done in the 2.0.0 Update, you can check out our patch notes.
We've also been overwhelmed by the love and support we received from all of you. This year, we reached almost 10,000 unique users on Steam, and our community Discord has hit over 250 members! If you have the means and are able to purchase the soundtrack on Steam, it's the best way to support us other than playing or recommending the game itself.
The Community
When we created this game, we never imagined what a thriving community we would end up with. Your fanart, fanfiction, theories, and more have been amazing to see! We have just started to read some of the amazing stories that were submitted to our writing competition, and they've been a ton of fun.
We would also love to give a huge shoutout to our translators! They have been working hard to help translate the game into different languages, and we hope that one day, with their help, we can bring IWBAGD to even more people. If you’re interested in helping translate the game into additional languages, please join our Discord—there you’ll find more information on how to sign up.
As for what's next, we have some BIG events planned for our Discord community. If you haven't joined yet, make sure to, and if you already have, start preparing for war, as a certain character event might be making a comeback.
The Future
Now this one is a bit tricky. We have a lot of plans, and we're extremely excited to show them off, but sadly things take time. Right now we are hard at work on the new game, and are gearing up for a HUGE reveal! So make sure you are following our socials, as you won't want to miss this.
As for what is next with "I Wanna Be A Game Dev!", we are planning to keep updating the game and potentially release more side stories in the future, but we don't have a timeline at the moment. We want to make sure "I Wanna Be A Game Dev!" is the best game it can be, and won't stop until it gets there.
