Good morning H-Hour community!
I just want to start off by saying, “Thank you.” As of today, we are still the 2nd most popular early access release on Steam with a reviewer rating of “mostly positive.”
As an independent Studio we are humbled by the fantastic reception of H-Hour on Steam and it was only possible by the continued support of each and every one of you. We know that we have a lot of work still left to do to keep those ratings favorable but we have a clear roadmap and a powerful fan base to keep us on track. As a part of this, expect to see a small patch drop this week with a few things the community has been asking us to add.
As we continue to progress with H-Hour we’ll remain vigilant to things that might need to be reprioritized. As I visit Twitch streams and read forum posts I hear what you guys have to say at the ground level. Those interactions allow me to approach the dev team, weekly or even daily, to open up discussions about possible changes to our roadmap. We want to remain adaptive and flexible to any changes that need to be made.
The early access ride has begun and as you continue to play H-Hour you’ll begin to see more and more new people joining in. These are early days for the game with a full schedule of work planned for the future so we never expected, at launch, to have thousands or even several hundred in game at one time. We are therefore pleased to see the reception on Steam to date. We, SOF Studios, are well aware that we must put out patches and quality content to keep the steady state of gamers joining and playing H-Hour. We are confident that as each new patch is released, H-Hour will continue to grow into the game you all have told us you want.
Since the launch I’ve been approached by several companies interested in talking with us, both private and industry people. They are watching us closely and have commented on the favorable reviews and even the live streaming of H-Hour. Your reviews of this game matter, even the needs improvement ones. So, if you haven’t posted a review to our Steam page, please do so because it does make a difference.
In closing I just want to post some of the top comments and priorities (not in any particular order) we see on our steam hub, forums and social media sites as being very important in the next couple of months. Other things will be fixed and added but here are some of the bigger items we have targeted:
- Gun mechanics, bullets and individual weapon personality
- VOIP
- Animations
- Maps and game modes
Thank you all again. I look forward to the journey ahead and learning from you guys as we continue to push this game into the future.
More next Monday!
