Hello H-Hour community!
Our Saturday H-Hour patch primarily focused on fixing exploits and bugs, second pass tuning of the SMGs and continuing the work on the Factory map, including giving players more control over their environment with the addition of many more destructible lights.
Exploits we did first pass fixes on included wall clipping with weapons, single shot macros eliminating flash and sound and the prone slide. Sometimes complex fixes such as these can cause unintended consequences. We want to thank those members of the community who reported bugs from the build over the weekend. This will greatly help the team in trouble shooting fixes. Full details on the contents of the patch can be found here.
With the introduction of the new map approaching, we thought we would give you some insight into the setting for its design, share another screenshot and explain the new game mode it will include.
The working title for our 4th map is Temple. The setting is a terrorist base inside some old ruins that include extensive tunnel networks and entry and egress positions. Using the tunnels to sneak around the enemy will help with your assault. You can also take the direct approach for speed but it’s more dangerous and will expose you to enemy fire.
The game mode for this map is called “Breach”. The mission for SOF will be to sneak a supplied bomb into the Terrorists stronghold and blow up an objective. Terrorists will defend the objective and prevent the SOFs attack.
Temple will also see the introduction of the use of C4 to change up the environment by creating more paths. Equipment selection now becomes more strategic for players who must decide which items to equip. It will be particularly important for Temple to get to the objective in the quickest way possible. If the community enjoys the addition of breachable points like these, we may also revisit some of the older maps at a later time to add some to them.

This week the dev team will be working on:
- The new map and game mode, including breachable points
- More Bug fixes
- Audio for Factory. We will be going through and adding reverb volumes to help with the audio acoustics. We want street audio not to penetrate to the tunnels. We also want different reverb effects applied to the audio based on your surroundings such as city, tunnels and warehouse.
I’ll also be talking with the folks from Technicolor this week about animations improvements. Animations are still a priority for us and I know it is for you guys too! More updates on that as I learn details.
More next week!
