I will be rolling through updating servers starting at 1:30 PM EST. It usually takes me 30 minutes max to get them all done so watch for them going down and then make sure you get the latest download by restarting Steam.
Reminder that this may overwrite your saved data with the defaults so if you have special loadouts assigned to the slots, you might need to go into Armory and reset your preferred loadout before joining or by using “I” when the round starts.
I will also recommend that you run a “Verify” of your files before playing the new patch to ensure everything downloaded properly from Steam. Many of the dev testers had to do this today and found they were missing anywhere from 1-3 files that needed to be downloaded again. Steam tends not to download config files and savedata without the Verify process which is why some have issues as we continually update these files. To verify,
- right-click on H-Hour in your library,
- select Properties,
- then the Local Files tab and
- click on the Verify integrity of game cache button.

Delta Force character tweaks for resolution, lighting.
"Unready" selection has been added to the lobby so we are ready for the addition of logic for when and when not to abort the Ready countdown. Coming in a future patch.
Voice –
Changes to allow more network capacity were made and tested which showed improvements in quality. We need more feedback on what this means when in use on a full server so decided to release and gather from the community. If you spam the “push to talk” for an extended period you will lag so remember to only use this for quick, tactical communications. Let us know if this improves the voice quality for you!
Workshop –
We are now ready to move to a Beta with our Workshop. This is an open request to any community member who has existing map content in UE4 they would like to see in H-Hour. If this is you, please self-identify in this thread so we can pull you into a group for meetings on the Workshop and get you setup and rolling for the proper processes needed.
The Beta testers will be working hand-in-hand with our dev testers and the development team as we refine the material, programs and content required for a full public release. Special forums and a Steam group will be created to accommodate those selected for this Beta.
The following content was created for use in our dev testing or tested this week and will be made available to those selected for the Beta:
- Editor Project file package and a Workshop App file package were created for use by map makers in creating H-Hour custom maps.
- An evergreen guide was created for use by those interested in creating content.
- Workshop creation within the engine and linkages to Steam.
- Workshop programming for evaluating submitted content and providing log feedback to creators on missing content.
- Workshop programming for automatic downloading of maps released to the public for H-Hour (requires game restart after download to write content to disk and load with H-Hour on next game start.
- Alternately members will be able to subscribe to content directly on the Workshop on Steam which will automatically download to your files.
