Hello, H-Hour Community!
Welcome to Tuesday. As most of you know we put out a patch last Friday on Steam that addressed map optimization, bugs and hostage extraction fixes. If you missed the update you can check it out here:

This is just a snapshot of what the team is going to be working on for the next couple of weeks. Bottom line, we need to fix the bugs, as they are piling up and we don’t want to let those very important things ruin the current content in our game.
- Rigging of all the characters to the new skeleton
- Cleaning up the movement on the animations
- Looking to make SISMIS a little more like the holidays
- Bullet visual replication
- Workshop plug-in
- Optimization of the servers to preserve its longevity
- Looking to make another one of our maps support respawn.
We don’t see putting out another update via Steam until right before Christmas. This will allow our team to really focus on fixing the things listed above and then some.
I’m really proud of the team and all that they’ve accomplished to date. When putting out updates (25 total since we launched in May) it takes a lot of time away from the team. You put a build up to test, then it comes back with bugs…. We fix the bugs and cook and send up another build to tests.. If it comes back with more bugs then we fix those. The cycle continues until we’re happy with the results. That process can take up to three days to do. We just can’t continue to do that right now.
Let’s talk community for a second. You guys are awesome! The amount of “VOLUNTEER” hours you have spent on forum moderation, testing, social media, and playing our game is humbling. We really could not do this without your continued support. We’re an indie Studio that requires help from its users. You guys have stood the test of time and it’s much appreciated.
I’ve also noticed some folks reaching out to Sony on our social media outlets to bring awareness to H-Hour. Keep doing it! We started SOF Studios because BIG businesses just weren’t listening to mass amounts of gamers looking to bring back the classic 3rd person, one-lifer experience.
The divide…. We are aware that a divide exist in the community. I’d encourage you all to try and reach across the aisle, with tact, and try and close that gap. I’ve stated in earlier streams that we as a Studio MUST focus on this game but we also realized our handling of the community wasn’t up to par. It’s really hard to juggle it all but we’re learning and applying what we’ve learned to make SOFs a better Studio.
Although we’re not going to put out updates in the next couple weeks we’ll continue with the Quick Looks to keep you guys informed on the progress.
I appreciate you all!
More next Monday.
