Game is expanding!
Gameplay has been expanded with a new shop and order system, completed major NPC customers, and a skill tree that lets you customize your coffee-making experience! The first alpha version is approaching quickly, with an estimated release at the end of March as planned.
☕️ Shop & Orders
(Functional! UI design in progress..)
The new shop system has finally arrived, making your shopping experience much more interactive! While the initial design only allowed for immediate one by one purchases, the new system lets players view current inventory counts, buy in bulk, and filter through all available items. After making your selections, you'll place a package order that takes some time to be delivered.
And yes, you can now finally sell your items, too! Especially if you're tired of that boring free chair you got at the start.
☕️ Skill tree
To add a layer of strategy to coffee making while keeping it simple, a skill tree has been introduced! As you level up and earn skill points, you’ll be able to unlock new coffee recipes, increase the XP gained from them, reduce brewing and grinding times, and gain other bonuses.
While you can’t unlock all skills at once, you’ll have the option to reset them anytime, allowing you to refine your own perfect brewing experience.
☕️ NPC Customer System
Last time, we mentioned adding big NPCs as customers to the café, and since then, this feature has been completed, with new characters now fully imported!
The number of customers depends on your level and the availability of chairs. To add more structure to the decoration system, chairs can now only be placed next to tables. While NPCs aren’t interactable just yet, I have some fun ideas for future improvements, maybe even making you eagerly anticipate visits from your favorite characters!
☕️ Decor expansion
Decor item assets up to level 30 have been completed and are ready to be implemented in the game! This means players can now level up to 30 instead of being limited to 10. The current goal is to expand the game further, eventually reaching level 50.
☕️ Completed 8/8 drinks
The planned eight drink recipes have now been added, expanding the game from the original three coffee drinks to a total of eight, along with a few related minigames!
