Greetings, fellow cultivators!
A Mao hasn’t shown up for a while because I’ve been training in all kinds of cave dungeons across the desert area. Now that I’ve finally finished exploring them, it’s time to give you a proper introduction.
Cave Dungeons
The desert area is not only different in terrain and scenery. We’ve also added a number of cave dungeons filled with dangerous enemies and rare ore veins.
While exploring, you may also discover pill recipes and Arts left behind by some unfortunate cultivators. No idea who those unlucky people were, of course. Definitely not me.

Resources for Cultivation
Most of the resources found inside these caves are used for cultivation.
At this stage, we are no longer ordinary Mortals. If you want a better Pill Furnace, stronger Artifacts, or faster cultivation, you’ll need to venture into these caves and gather the resources required to keep progressing.

NPCs
The desert area also features more NPCs than before. You can choose to communicate with them peacefully, or simply attack them if that is more your style.
If you happen to meet a cultivator with decent cultivation or... appealing looks, you can even use a Demon-Binding Rope to bring them back home and cultivate together.
Of course, before doing that, you’ll first need to build an Engraved Harmony Bed.

After all, absorbing someone else’s Spirit Power is certainly faster than cultivating all by yourself.
But none of these cultivators are easy opponents. Each of them has their own unique Arts. To stand a chance against them, players will need to build their own combat style through the Inner Realm and develop a setup that suits their strengths.
We’re also adding new attack effects for Qi Sigils to make these builds feel more distinct in battle.

The desert is not the end of the journey. We’re already working on new areas as well.
If you’re interested in the game, feel free to download the demo and give it a try!
See you in the next devlog. A Mao needs to go get some water first. The desert is way too hot.
