Dear Cult Leaders!
TedRed team’s here.
If you see this for the first time - we develop Feed The Gods.
Feed The Gods is a multiplayer card battler game. With powerful cards, you have to escape the pit of doom and leave your opponents at the bottom as a sacrifice to the gods.
Take the lead of one of the cultist’s member, use your cards wisely, cheat, lie and stay on top!
Last week we ran our first playtest! And we want to thank everyone who participated in it. We got a lot of useful feedback over the 3 days! That means a lot to us. And we still have much to do until the release.
Now let’s shed some light on what features and fixes we’ll focus on next month.
TUTORIAL
As a team, we always test new features on ourselves. And it seemed like the game was easy to understand. Yeah, that was a big mistake that we plan to fix most of all!
In previous versions, we had a “HOW TO PLAY” button.
For the next playtest we want to make a real, easy-to-understand tutorial. First test session will include detailed explanations of the interface and in-game mechanics.
And you can’t skip it, sorry, The Ancient totally won’t approve of it.
JOINING THE GAME
Ah, that’s the easy one. Players will connect to understaffed lobbies when the party is in the current game. You'll have to wait until they're done, but you can start the next session with that group automatically.
MORE SOUNDTRACK
The playtest build had a lot of cool sounds, but very little soundtrack. Fear not, we’re still have much to add:
- More tunes are coming
- Three levels of music intensity
- Each intensity will consist of 3-4 randomly switched loops
- Switching of intensity happens depending of cultists quantity on certain level of tower
- You won’t be bored with it, we promise!!
MINOR BUGS AND SO ON
You know how it goes. Someone always must clean up the tower.
Leave it to us! We plan to fix things here and there. And there’s always more.
If you notice a critical bug and something went wrong in the game - please, don’t hesitate to leave a feedback! It will help us get things back in order and make the game better.
That’s the end of our first Dev Diary!
