Dear Cult Leaders,
TedRed team here.
September is already coming to an end, and we’re not only fixing all the bugs in the world like crazy, but also adding new features to the game we would like to test with you. No time to relax, as we have another playtest to run next week!
A PLAYTEST NEXT WEEK - SEPTEMBER 27-30
The next playtest kicks off Friday, 27 September 2024 18:00 16:00 UTC (9:00 AM PDT, 12:00 PM EDT) and continues until Monday, 30 September 2024 16:00 UTC (9:00 AM PDT, 12:00 PM EDT).
How to Join on Steam
Visit the Feed The Gods Steam store page starting today, and click "Request Access" under "Join Feed The Gods Playtest" to sign up. We will start confirming access daily after the playtest goes live. Those selected will be promptly notified.
Feed The Gods is a party game. We highly recommend bringing your friends with you! If you want to finds someone to play with - join our Discord and leave your message in #lfg channel!
This is our last open playtest, but not the last opportunity for you to try out the game!
JOINING TO ONGOING GAME AS A SPECTATOR
Now you can connect to the game and watch cultists fight for their lives!
You'll have to wait until players finish the match. Afterward you’ll join the lobby as one of the active players automatically. We’re adding this to help discover games for sole players, who wish to join the random party but don’t want to catch them in the lobby.
TRY OUT TUTORIAL
As we mentioned before we added a tutorial match to the game. We would like you to try it out and say what you think. Hopefully for newer players the tutorial would be comprehensive enough to play against other players knowingly.
DECK BUILDING FEATURE
This is an experimental feature we would like you to try out. We’re not yet sure it would go into the game on release, but essentially each player has their own deck with special cards that they are allowed to draw from. The common deck has only cards to move your cultists, so you need to choose which cards you prefer to use on your turn. This also important because after the common deck is depleted, the discard is shuffled and all cards you have used will be available to draw for your opponents.
MORE AVATARS
We just can't stop our artist. He paints and paints and paints.....
But it's beautiful! Now you have a choice of almost 29 avatars for any taste.
That’s the end of our third Dev Diary!
