Dear Andrew's Nightmare followers,
We'd like to share some promising news with you after such a long time.
The past year has been incredibly difficult for us, and we faced several setbacks that delayed development more than we had anticipated. But don't worry, we're still hard at work on the full game.
Development has been progressing well, things are becoming more exciting every day, and we're very happy with the direction the project is taking.
We also took a close look at the feedback and reviews we received during the latest Steam Next Fest. Thanks to your comments and constructive criticism, we were able to identify and improve several areas that (let's be honest) weren't as clear or polished as they should have been.
Because of that, we've released an updated version of the DEMO, featuring a long list of improvements, including:
Redesigned DEMO level progression.
Improved input responsiveness and controls.
Brightness adjustment option.
Ability to skip long cutscenes by holding SPACE or the B button on a gamepad.
Increased walking speed and a new Run ability.
Improved readability of menu text.
Better hints and contextual information for certain interactions.
More accurate Japanese localization.
Several consumable items have been replaced with more authentic alternatives. ...And many, many more improvements.
We hope this update comes as a pleasant surprise while we know development has taken longer than we'd like, (we're a very small indie studio) and we want you to know that we're listening carefully to the community every step of the way. Our goal is to deliver the best experience we possibly can when the full game is finally ready.
Thank you for your patience, your support, and for continuing to believe in Andrew's Nightmare.
Until next time,
Daniel Octavio Herrera.
