The story of Pennon and Battle is set in an ancient land called Ruachland. Various tribes established their own kingdoms on this fertile continent. Since its awakening, the Swarm rapidly expanded with its terrifying reproductive and infective abilities. By the time the factions realized, it was too late; the Swarm had ravaged Ruachland.
The Ancient Swarm is a peculiar tribe that existed in Ruachland before the last era. They were servants and experiments of the Old Gods. Under the influence of the Old Gods great power, the Swarm possessed strong reproductive and mutative abilities. Their bizarre forms and strict hierarchy created wonders within the species. To control the Swarm as their sharpest weapon, the Old Gods endowed them with psychic powers, allowing the Swarm to coordinate actions within a unified neural network. However, this weapon developed a will of its own. Under the leadership of the Queen, the Ancient Swarm rebelled against the Old Gods. The war was both a success and a failure. Ultimately, the Queen sacrificed herself to free the entire species from the Old Gods' soul-binding, and the heavily damaged Swarm began an endless slumber deep underground. The Swarm's deep sleep was supposed to continue until the new era began, when a group of noisy dwarves drilled into their sleeping lair...
Faction Characteristics:
The Ancient Swarm lurks in the dark underground world, forming a vast and complex community with their nests as bases. The members of this tribe vary greatly, from the lowest ant-like drones to the highly intelligent Matriarchs and elite Warriors, forming a strict hierarchy. Each nest of the Swarm is ruled by a Matriarch, who controls the Swarm through the Spirit link ability granted by the Old Gods.
The Ancient Swarm's Troop consists of various Swarm creatures. Although a single Swarm's combat power is not strong, their vast numbers make up for it. On the battlefield, the most terrifying aspect of the Swarm is their soldier numbers. As they eliminate enemies, countless new Swarms are born, and the Matriarchs continuously hatch larva on the battlefield. The larva born from infection spread like wildfire across every piece of land they pass.
Faction Buildings:
Conversion Core: Ancient Swarm heroes can convert defeated enemies into Ravagers stored in the Conversion Core. Having multiple Conversion Cores can increase the efficiency of converting Ravagers, stacking up to five layers. All recruitable Ravagers in the Conversion Core are lost every Monday.
Mind Centre: Increases the production of a random type of Soldier each week.
Colony: Provides a Colony for the town during siege battles. Enemies on the Colony have reduced Attack and Defense.
Faction Units:
Hero - Silverwing Zabul
The most fully evolved individual of the Ravager genus. Chosen by the Old Gods for a terrifying evolution experiment, Zabul's body underwent continuous mutation. He escaped the experiment with the help of the Queen, halting his evolution. Since then, he has been loyal to the Queen but lost her during a cocooning slumber.
