It wouldn’t be a tower defense game if the Monolith couldn’t summon towers. As mentioned earlier, there are five different elements in the game: Void, Celestial, Spectral, Oblivion, Abyss, and one neutral element - Corporeal. Each tower in the game will be associated with one of these elements. This means that its primary attack uses that element, but through upgrades and various cards, it may be possible to change the type of damage the tower deals.
Towers differ not only in their element but also in the way they attack. Some shoot at a single enemy, others deal area damage, and some shoot lasers that deal damage to all enemies in their path. Certain projectiles will explode, dealing additional damage, while others will slow down enemies or inflict damage over time (DoT). As the game progresses, you can expect more new and unique towers, each with its own set of upgrade cards.

In the upcoming demo, you will be able to test three of the planned towers. The first is the Shard Tower, a Corporeal tower that specializes in rapid attacks, firing multiple projectiles, and the ability to target more than one enemy at a time. Of course, which of these abilities gets enhanced will depend on the upgrades you choose during the game.

The next tower is the Soul Lantern, a Spectral tower. Its specialty is applying DoT effects to enemies. It has the potential to deal significant damage, provided that the enemy doesn’t get too close to the Monolith.
The final tower available in the demo is the Oblivion Hourglass, which specializes in slowing down enemies around it, but it can also be repurposed to deal damage.

We’re curious to see which of these towers you’ll like the most. At the start of early access, you can expect at least one tower from each element and unique upgrades for each of them, which you will be able to unlock during the game to build your own upgrade decks.
