Conquering worlds in our game won’t always be easy, as defenders have their secret weapon! Each enemy faction will have special bosses they can summon for help. Every tenth enemy wave will spawn a boss from that faction, who will march down the longest path on the map, always marked by a glowing soul symbol at the portal. However, defeating a boss won’t be straightforward. Not only will bosses have much larger health pools than regular enemies, but they’ll also possess unique abilities that can significantly complicate both their defeat and the incoming wave of enemies. Additionally, if the player allows the boss to reach the Monolith, the invasion will end in failure, regardless of how healthy the Monolith was beforehand. So, be sure to fortify your defenses well before the 10th, 20th, and 30th rounds!

A boss isn’t just a challenge for the player but also an opportunity, as defeating the first two bosses rewards the player with an additional upgrade. They’ll be able to choose this upgrade from a special pool of upgrades outside their regular deck. In this pool, most cards enhance all towers owned by the player. These upgrades may be necessary, as each subsequent boss will grow stronger! Defeating a boss is not only crucial for that specific game run but also for progression, as boss rounds mark milestones that significantly boost the amount of experience gained.

To help players prepare for such an encounter, they will receive information before the game begins, detailing the boss’s elemental affinity and abilities. This allows the player to tailor their deck with cards that might be useful for facing such a formidable opponent.
