Hello Detectives!
Thank you for your enthusiasm and feedback on the demo! We've prepared a hotfix to address some bugs that we found during playtest, and add a little bit of new content.
Now that most bugs are fixed, we will focus on pacing and QoL updates. We're planning to expand the office as a tutorial area, and space out the text across the level. Let us know in the discord if you have any more feedback or suggestions!

- The photo frame on the Desk can now be interacted with
Changes:
- The document buttons in the files window now show visual feedback when hovered by the mouse
- When in the Desk, other documents can no longer be selected from underneath a document that is currently being displayed
- Suspect folder has been removed from the Office after returning from the Speakeasy
- When moving between rooms in the Speakeasy, the detective will now be placed more accurately in front of entrance doors
- Dialogue can now be progress by clicking anywhere on the screen, or by pressing e, or enter
- Subtle shading has been added to the Desk
- Not yet implemented languages have been temporarily removed from the Languages dropdown in the options
Bug Fixes:
- Agent Cooper now opens the office door instead of phasing through it
- The suspect folder’s sprite now disappears when the player picks it up in the Office
- The Glass Tumbler overworld sprite in the Speakeasy now changes back to filled when the player pours in a new drink
- When pouring new drinks into the Glass Tumbler, the pouring sound now plays for all options
- The escape button can now be used to leave the Closet window in the Speakeasy
- A mislabeled option for swapping a revolver in the Speakeasy has been amended
- The resolutions dropdown in the options menu now displays the correct selection of resolution options
- The Revolvers interactable in the Office is no longer missing an image
- The controls prompt at the start of the game now registers arrow keys
- Pressing escape to leave the Desk when a document is open, no longer causes that document to be stuck when re-entering the Desk
- The Sheet Music overworld sprite no longer renders over the detective
- Certain audio sources now accurately set their volume levels according to the volume slider in the options
- Resolution drop down in options now accurately displays supported resolutions
Misc:
- New executable icon
