Greetings, adventurers of Orathos,
Here are the full details of update 10.60, marking an important step forward in the evolution of the game.
🎵 Complete Music Overhaul
We’ve reworked and reimplemented all the music tracks throughout the game. This new soundtrack is designed to deepen immersion and enhance the emotional impact of your journey in Orathos.
🧝♂️ Character Name Changes Incoming
In the coming weeks, all hero and villain names will be gradually replaced with original fantasy-style names.
Why this change? Originally, the game was a personal project created for friends, and their nicknames were used as characters. Now that the game is publicly available, we’ve decided to respect their privacy and rework the names to better match the lore and tone of a full-fledged fantasy world.
📚 Objective 1: Restoring Chapters 8 to 10
We’re actively working on reintegrating Chapters 8, 9, and 10, adapting them to the new combat system introduced in recent patches.
❌ Unfortunately, due to the failure of our Kickstarter campaign, Chapter 11 in its enhanced "2S" version will not be released, despite the work already completed.
💻 Objective 2: Moving to a New Graphics Engine
We’re fully aware of RPG Maker MZ's limitations, which is why we’re dedicating this summer to training with a new game engine capable of unlocking Orathos’ full potential.
Whether this leads to an ultimate patch or a fully rebuilt version of the game is still under discussion, but development is moving forward.
🔜 What’s Coming Next
Before shifting to the new engine, we aim to release the final updates for this version of the game:
Patch 10.70
Patch 10.80
Patch 10.90
🗓️ These updates are scheduled for release by the end of August 2025, after which regular updates will be paused to focus entirely on the next stage of development.
🙏 A Message from the Developer
"I’m not taking a break, even after four years of development. It’s with mixed emotions that I say goodbye to RPG Maker, and to the dream of completing Chapter 11 with this engine. Thank you to everyone who believed in this adventure."
