Hello, I'm runinzem, in charge of game design and art for this game. Once again, I would like to share our upcoming update plans with you.
We have scheduled two updates: on July 21st (0.5.0) and August 3rd (0.6.0). The 0.6.0 update, originally planned for July, has been postponed to August due to a one-week delay. We apologize for this shift. Starting from the second half of August, we plan to proceed with updates without any further delays within the month.
New Unit Voting
Before introducing the update content, I have an announcement for our players.
Since this game is a fan game of Hololive, I believe that most of you who play the game have a favorite Hololive idol. To give you the chance to see your desired idol in the game, we are holding an event where you can vote for the idol who will inspire the new unit in the September update. If the event is successful, we plan to hold additional events like this in the future.
Here’s how to vote: 1) After this announcement, check the 'The 1st HOLOSAGA: Invasion of the HoloX New Unit Vote' announcement. 2) Click the Google Form link in the announcement and vote for your desired idol. There are five choices in total, and you can vote only once. (Since we have prepared the unit concept for the candidate idols in advance, we apologize for not providing more options.) 3) The idol with the most votes will appear as a new unit in the first quarter update of September (planned for version 0.9.0).
The voting announcement will be posted along with the update plans. We look forward to your participation!
Now, here’s a brief introduction to the upcoming updates. Please note that some details might be adjusted or added as these plans are still in progress.
Update 0.5.0 (Scheduled for 2024-07-21)
- The unit 'Shiranui Flare' returns with a remake. The Flare unit is remade and reintroduced. The remade Flare unit will feature visual improvements, concept changes, and pattern structure adjustments. However, the core concept of being a "line-clear specialized, easy projectile unit" will remain the same.
- The unit 'Usada Pekora' will be reworked. The previously underutilized 'Usada Pekora' unit will receive structural improvements and new patterns. While maintaining the original play style, a new ability will be added that allows you to transfer powerful buffs to any unit at any desired time, previously only available to units with low HP.
Update 0.6.0 (Scheduled for 2024-08-03)
- A new unit 'Himemori Luna' will be added. Luna is a support unit specializing in healing and crowd control. She fights by sending 'knights' to battle for her, and when she eats her candy, she enters 'Fever Time', enabling enhanced patterns.
- A new system 'Over Spec' will be added. The 'Over Spec' system, which was omitted in the 0.2.0 patch, will be added. You can invest Holomoney into Over Spec to further enhance your unit's stats, making it easier for less skilled players to clear difficulties. We recommend experienced players invest in Over Spec to prepare for the 'challenging content' coming in August.
