Happy new year everyone!
Apologies for the silence over the last couple of weeks. Snowstorms and illnesses have been hitting the household pretty bad.
Regardless -- to bring in the new year, I'm releasing the newest ship for Following Seas - the Dhow.
This is mid-sized ship that brings good performance and simple operation due to a single sail. This sail is a true settee sail, so unlike the false version on the caravel, both corners on the foot can be controlled independently, allowing more control over the positioning of the sail.
While not strictly an Imperial ship, it is built in their traditions - and as such can be purchased at the Imperial shipyard on Waypoint Isle.
Performance is still being tuned - but it's in a functional state.
For context on this ship, this was actually the very first ship built for FS in the autumn of 2022 (you can still see the original profile in the game's logo). It was removed early in development due to not meeting the standards I've since set, but I always intended to return to it, as I'm a fan of design of these ships.
This update still utilizes some of the original model, but is about 80% new, and fully brought up to the match the functionality of the other ships.
There are minimal fixes or changes apart from this in this update, but I have not stopped working on QA by any means.
Expect new landmasses soon as well. Next up is a copper mine not far from the Keyhole. (Eventually to be added with a future tin mine for the smelting of bronze.)

The Dhow in its initial state early in development.

A new look across the bow.

A stern gallery for the budget oriented sailor.

A flatter deck than a becalmed sea.

Cozy, with room for activities.

Osha hasn't been invented so we don't need handrails.
