Support for videos of any native BPM has been added! So whether they are 128, 80, or even 150 BPM loops, AI VJ can now sync up all of your own videos too!
Also know that AI VJ already supports videos at any common resolution, which are automatically displayed maximized. So you should be good to go with any VJ loops as long as the aspect ratio works on the screen you're using it on!
With these features AI VJ has - as far as I am aware - become the most easy to use VJ software in its price range!
To celebrate this, and Rhythm Fest which is now happening on Steam, we've discounted many of our DLCs for the week!
For this update we have 4 feature requests fulfilled, and several more things added:
- As mentioned, support for videos of any BPM: Say after downloading a loop here, you can import it by clicking the folder icon on a new bank. Then open settings in the right side panel, and select the video(s) for which you wish to adjust the BPM and set it, say to 128 for the example video. Playback will be updated live! (thanks George and others for the request!)
Note that all our videos so far are 120 BPM, in case you changed it for a video and wonder what to reset it to again.
- It is now possible to switch Banks by using just keyboard shortcuts. The numbers 1-9 (to 0 for 10 really) will play the corresponding bank! Note that this only works while the window is in focus. Being able to remap them, and other features such as MIDI control will come at some point too, but you'll need some patience for those (thanks Hazard6s!).
- Imported videos are now muted. Allowing you to use even videos & loops that already have music with them, without their audio disrupting your music! (thanks Hrochoslon!)
- And finally a particularly bad bug in the window / resizing code was fixed. It made the buttons not work on high resolution screens. Now all fixed! (thanks for reporting it Ron!).
Please do report any remaining bugs in our discord, no matter how small!
Smaller fixes included in this update are:
- Fractal shaders from the default deck were not screen filling on some larger screens, or when the projector & UI screen differed in resolution. Now they are generated at the largest of the required sizes!
- The taskbar remained visible on full screen for the UI. Now hidden
- There were issues with the size of the resize buttons when moving from vertical to horizontal screen layouts. Now they stay the same size
- The logo that replaces the window control buttons in windowed mode now links to AI-VJ.com
