Overview
Who's Next? is a social deduction game similar to Among Us and Goose Goose Duck.
It is currently playable with a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 8 players.
However, what sets it apart from existing games is that everyone is both a crewmate and an imposter in a “tail chase structure.”
We developed this rule to address issues in existing games, such as "Why am I never the imposter!" or one specific troll player reducing the overall fun of the game.
Gameplay – Souls and Objectives
The game begins by assigning players a unique, random soul and the soul they need to target.
At first, you don’t know who possesses which soul, but as the game progresses, you can collect clues and partial information while engaging in dialogue to deduce others' souls.
There are two main ways to deduce each other's souls:
1. Performing Tasks (mini-games) to collect accurate clues.
2. Using proximity-based in-game voice chat or discussing during “Twilight Time” to gather information.
Once you figure out who holds the target soul you're after, you can attempt to eliminate (Space) them at close range, similar to existing games.
If you attempt to eliminate the wrong target, you will die, so be cautious!
Take down all your targets in order, and you’ll be the last one standing to claim victory!
Gameplay – Tasks and Strategic Tools
By completing Tasks (mini-games) throughout the afterlife, you can collect clues and earn a currency called Yeopjeon.
You can use the Yeopjeon you’ve earned to purchase various strategic tools from the shop.
Depending on your situation and the game’s progress, utilizing the right tools can help you gain an advantage.
The price of tools varies based on their grade and ability. Some tools can even turn the tide of the game or perform exceptionally well depending on your soul and circumstances.
Game Concept – Traditional Korean Afterlife
This game embraces a distinctly Korean theme. All in-game concepts are set against the backdrop of a battle for reincarnation in the traditional Korean afterlife, featuring ghosts and spirits.
