The ground's hasn't shuck in a while... Now it will!
This is the biggest update to Jishin since launch: a boss fight, a completely redrawn interface, a build system that finally works the way it always should have, and modifiers to make every run its own problem to solve.
THE EPICENTER
Battle a boss built from scratch for Jishin. The boss wave was designed to make the game more fun for everyone and spice up the game a bit.
PLAN. UNDO. COMMIT.
Building is completely revamped. Sketch the whole layout first (walls, turrets, long-range turrets), undo and redo as much as you like, then hit BUILD to lock it in. The grid snaps on while you're planning, so you can see the shape of your defence before you pay for it.
ENERGY SYSTEM
Gain energy over time and use it to blast enemies. Shoot lasers at the boss with your energy, or reroll bad towers for just 100 energy!
A FULL UI OVERHAUL
Brand new UI across the whole game. Wave, energy and combat status live in a clean sidebar that tells you what's happening at a glance. Boss health, build controls and speed controls all have a home now. Same game underneath. It just stops making you squint.
(Also many bugs fixed and much more)
Thanks for sticking with Jishin. It's a solo project, so every bit of feedback helps what gets built next. Drop it in the discussions or mail [email protected].
See you at the epicenter.
