Donating
Before starting, I would like to mention that I have set up a 24-hour stream for certain streamers whom I thank very much for this!
- Runebee
- DaddySniper
- Thorlar
This update, although it brings significant changes, is not as important in terms of content as the map from the previous update. However, this update is very necessary because, as many of you have requested, a co-op version is being designed and planned. This is very useful because, looking towards the future, playing with the replication of certain components (for example, a door so that both the host and clients see the action happening) is vital to make changes like the ones you will see below. A simple action such as changing the dolls' door (initially fully programmed) now responds to a Horror Engine base. Essentially, it is the same door as the rest of the doors, and this is extremely useful because when the house door works in multiplayer, it will be available for all doors, including the dolls' door.
Additionally, this is important because the new door action (its action trigger is no longer in the box but on the door itself) will allow interaction with what is inside. This leads to the next update, as I want to create a new mode that I will explain in more detail in Working on Update 8.
Doll Prize
Finally, thank you to everyone who participated in the leaderboard of the daycare map.
The winner was the streamer Phat! Since his doll already exists in the current map, he has decided that the female doll in the next map will be: bamico. Congratulations to both!
Doll Change
One of the dolls that was initially in the daycare was Asu, and due to my mistake, I removed her from the list. Therefore, correcting my error, I have added her back into the game, replacing Asu with Blair. This does not impact your Blair achievement as you will still have it, but the name has been changed.
New Customization
The caravan is now customizable! You can add certain colors, walls, and I have even introduced something new: the scale size and color of the wall material (currently only in the caravan). This adds an extra touch of customization since we spend most of our time in the caravan.
Steam cloud
From now on, Doll Impostor is compatible with Steam cloud, so those desynchronizations with Steam Deck and PC, as well as all those who formatted their computers, will no longer require tutorials, and you will have everything saved! (By the way, to save your current progress, simply modify your refuge or caravan; just clicking on any element will save it to the Steam cloud).
Statistics
Doll Impostor now has a Statistics section within the PC. These statistics currently show how many times you have obtained a doll and how many times you have completed each map, in order and highlighting the first of both. In the future, more statistics will be added, such as how many times a doll has killed you, how many times you have lost on the maps, etc.
