Thank you so much for the tremendous support Doll Impostor has received, especially with the latest update!! In just one weekend, 23% of the players downloaded and played it!!
This is a very good sign. Also, I really liked this format of releasing a beta version a few days earlier for the veterans so that all possible bugs are reported and, when it's officially available, there's no negative impact! Thank you all for participating!! 😊🎮✨
Donations
Many of you have asked to donate to the game, so I've created a link for those who want to do so. In return, I'll find a place to display your names, probably in the shelter, as a token of gratitude! 😊
What's Next?
First of all, in the spirit of transparency, the price of the game has increased slightly due to the new content that has been created and will continue to be developed! I will participate in many Steam discounts, however, for those who find it harder to purchase.
Steam Trading Cards and Content!
Steam has given us the opportunity to create trading cards, badges, backgrounds, items, etc.! This is a new world for me to explore and test out since none of my previous games had such an incredible and positive community!
Controls
I want to make the controls more user-friendly with a gamepad. This means trying to make the interface compatible with gamepads and possibly with Steam Deck! (Even though players have already told us that it works very well with Steam Deck)
New Platforms
I would like to explore the possibility of making Doll Impostor work on mobile, given the large number of users who have requested to play from their devices. This will be a complex path to explore, requiring patience, trial and error, and above all ensuring that it has no impact on the regular development of the game on PC. Not to mention, we will need to adapt leaderboards, achievements, etc., from Steam to the specific operating system.
House Extension
Given the previous update and my intention for the caravan to become our home during expeditions, I want the famous secret door to lead to a street in a neighborhood of houses where our caravan is parked outside!
Customization
If you haven't noticed, the shelter is a bit empty. This is because we are still laying the foundations of our refuge, where I want to add customization options, including the caravan. You’ll be able to change the flooring, walls, items on the walls, and even place figures like your favorite doll next to the PC, etc.!
Additionally, with this customization, I might add some items to the Steam Market so you can trade and use them in the game!
New Map
This update won't include the new map, but I want to announce that it will be a Children's Hospital. The dolls will be those left behind by children who passed away; essentially, the dolls will have the souls of those children. We'll probably have the Nurse as a jumpscare. Here’s the new list of dolls; these are not final and may change:
Male dolls:
- Valera
- Miaw
- Nem
- Phat
- Kendro
- Japa
- Scudi
- Venti
- Thorlar
- Terry
Female dolls:
- Bim
- Ann
- Asu
- Emma
- Olivia
- Emily
- Madison
- Candy
- Lilly
- Blair
