Thank you all so much for keeping up with the updates! These past few weeks have been very tough for me, but thanks to this update, the content has more than doubled. This game is growing by leaps and bounds, all thanks to your support! 🎉
It is already available in beta mode, look in the steam betas for one called "beta" (Need steam restart to show) and it will have the update, however it may have bugs, please report as soon as possible the bugs you find!
I am pleased to announce that the circus map is now available! 🎪 This update brings new jumpscares, a new place to view the board, a ton of new actions, new traps, and 20 new dolls!
Safe House
First of all, let's start with the new area (The Safe Zone). This area is your home, where you live and store the dolls you collect. You also have a new companion, a caravan, where you live or conduct your research (from now on with new maps). This area will continue to expand and create new spaces! 🏡
New Modes!
A tutorial has been implemented that everyone will need to complete (it won't take more than a minute for the most experienced players). This will be a great starting point for new players. The difficulty levels have also been adjusted to better match their specific challenges, and they are as follows:
- Easy
- Normal
- Hard
- Nightmare
Achievements for these difficulties have been reset. You will need to reach Normal difficulty to play the circus map! 🎪
Now, the Easy difficulty will be what was previously "Normal." You start at 00:00, have a list of names and actions of the impostor, and all clues are revealed at 08:00.
Normal difficulty starts at 00:00 but without extra clues, and you can't see the list or names.
Difficult difficulty starts at 06:00. You won't be able to see the photos of the dolls, and there will be no extra clues.
Nightmare difficulty starts at 08:00. It has 3 effective clues (these are now effective, so there won't be clues like "doesn't like light or TV"), no photos, no help, and some of the doll information is hidden (showing "????????" on some items). Additionally, you have limited access to the map.
In addition, there are new modes available below the Nightmare difficulty (you need to complete Nightmare to play them):
- Random: This mode is like Normal, but the information about the dolls is completely random.
- Race: This mode is like Random, but you have 3 minutes to solve the case. Depending on your speed, you'll earn a bronze, silver, or gold medal (earning a higher medal will also grant you the lower ones). These are three new achievements per map.
- Endless: This mode is like Career, but when you win, another round starts immediately. If you fail, you lose immediately as well. Additionally, a leaderboard has been added for each map in Endless mode, tracking the number of nights completed.
Circus 🎪
The circus map brings a ton of new features, including those already mentioned. Additionally, it introduces a specific action called "Confuse." If the impostor likes to confuse, they can perform this action (only once per night). However, they will be able to choose something they don't like and do it.
