Thank you for spending time checking out our project, and we’re sorry to hear you might be having trouble getting into the Strange! We are monitoring the bugs quite closely and are working on solutions which will be posted here – we will not be rolling out a patch for the game and rather trying to fix issues on the user’s end, because doing so will delete everyone's save files! So, it’s a matter of weighing what we can help people personally address versus just outright wiping everyone’s progress.
We’re not patching the game right now NOT because we don’t care – rather, we care for people’s progress so we are going about fixing it this way!
This post will be for any solved troubleshooting stuff discovered. We will update it over time for any new problems with found solutions.
Incorrect keybinds/ Hud not displaying:
If you played the Mohrta demo, you need to go into Documents/My Games/Mohrta and delete the mohrta-config.ini file. This will resolve most of the common graphical and key binding issues.
If that doesn't work, you can use the settings or + and - keys to adjust your HUD display, and any unbound keys can be bound through settings as well.
You can also go into the options and mess with the screen size option, in scaling options. Toggling "HUD preserves aspect ratio" may also help.
If all else fails, try just resetting your settings to default.
Generalized graphics problems:
If you have other problems with the graphics, these can be resolved for select players by changing the rendering API to Vulkan instead of OpenGL.
Options>Display Options>Preferred Rendering API = Vulkan
Turning of Tilt++ in the options menu may also improve performance across the board, for some it has significantly improved performance.
Another suggestion would be to try to play the game in windowed mode.
"I can't progress in 5-2!"
A very rare bug can occur where the lullaby golem doesn't behave it's pathing. This can't softlock you, but if you've completely lost the little guy, go to the large room with the weeping dog snake, stand in the center, open the console with "~" and type "summon lullabygolem".
"Nadia's quest is bugged/ I can't remove my curse!"
Another very rare bug, Nadia's quest triggering it's conclusion, the curse being cured, before the player ever has the curse. This can be resolved through the console commands, depending on which curse you picked. Type these in the "~" console...
take curse_spear
take curse_dodge
take curse_heal
take curse_mana
