Hello!
This is the SnakeEagle team.
We hope you’ve been doing well over the past month.
We’re here to quickly share our third devlog for Stage 3.
*This devlog includes content related to Stage 3, which is currently in development.
As the content is still in development, it may be subject to change in the future.
We have tried to avoid spoilers as much as possible, but if you would like to experience the stage completely fresh, please keep this in mind before reading.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave them anytime!
The Three Automaton Maid Sisters
The automatons “Olympia,” “Antonia,” and “Giulietta”
While Stages 1 and 2 were made up of more traditional stage structures,
the battle that takes place in Bartleby’s castle will be designed a little differently.
You will be fighting against the “automaton maids” she created.

(*Please note that this footage is still from a work-in-progress version.)

As for 'Olympia', the overall outline of the battle has mostly taken shape,
but we are still working on more refined attack patterns, presentation, and other details.
The seat in the center of the background is a VIP theater box from which Bartleby looks down upon the stage.
On a more behind-the-scenes note, we intentionally chose a different structure from the previous stages to avoid falling into a sense of repetition.
This time, the stage takes the form of one-on-one battles against humanoid mid-bosses.
And that decision has become a disaster of our own making,
as the amount of animation work has increased tremendously.
These days, we spend our time placing pixels, thinking through attack patterns,
and racking our brains.
Please wish us luck so that we can make it as fun as possible.
We also requested that the music for Stage 3 have an overall “jazz” feel.
In addition to Olympia’s theme from the video above, the other tracks are also coming along very nicely, so we have been enjoying a real treat for the ears while working on the stage.
We can’t wait to let you hear them too!
+) We also remember the requests to upload the tracks from the previous stages to YouTube.
If we can find the time, we’ll do our best to upload them sometime in July or August!
Updates to Existing Stages (1.4i)
Player
Improved controls by reducing landing momentum and preventing slipping after landing.
Adjusted rolling so that it can now be performed even directly in front of a wall.
Others
Fixed a bug where the player could collide with the “trash can lid” in Stage 2.
We are also continuing to update the existing stages!
All of the reviews and feedback you leave us are always a great help.
Thank you, as always :)
Closing Thoughts
June has come to an end, and July has begun!
We’ll keep working hard this month so that we can bring you even more exciting content.
Please stay healthy, everyone!
