Hi all! Phew, what a week, eh?
As we emerge from the launch fog, we just wanted to take a moment to drop a quick THANK YOU.
If you haven't been on this end of a game launch before, the closest thing I can liken it to is an exam - except it's an exam you've spent over a year studying for. Is all your work good, or not? Will you pass or fail? Oh gosh, the nerves on launch day.
So it's been the most wonderful experience seeing all of the new dungeoneers explore the ruins they've built. Already, we've seen everything from the gamer rage over Clava Cairn's Warden, to no-rotate runs!
We've been overwhelmed by the incredible reviews, here are a few of our favourites...
"My night's sleep may well be RESTLESS and RUINED cause I can't stop thinking about playing this banger of a game." - ekenz
"Into the Restless Ruin really surprised me. The core loop of building the dungeon, uncovering the seals, and beating the boss is tight and super satisfying. I wasn’t sure about the auto attack at first, but it turns out it’s a total lifesaver, letting me focus on dodging and positioning instead of frantic clicking. It all comes together in a way that’s both strategic and fast-paced. Definitely worth checking out." - [GWJ]UMOarsman
"This game gives you the satisfaction of planning and building a dungeon that lets you get to your goals and stack buffs perfectly. Then you run out of light, panic and suddenly its an inescapable labyrinth in which you have no idea what the right way is. 10/10, I will be playing this one for a lot." - TheRisingPun
And shoutout to TerraTheChunk and their dungeon of 30 armouries 😂
If you haven't as yet had the opportunity please leave us a Steam review as that would help us immensely - the extra visibility it gives us is real!
And please either use the Steam forums or our Discord to give us feedback and let us know about bugs. It's been pretty smooth as far as indie launches go, but we're gathering everything we're reading and using that to prioritise a few rare but annoying bugs, and figuring out what to look at in terms of new content if we can.
Once again, a big thank you to all those who have delved into the Ruins!
Cheers,
James, Rachel & Tony.
