Hello everyone!
A week ago, the Lost in the Roots playtest began, and we are still reeling from how the launch and first days went. Your response and interest in the game have been overwhelming, and we want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts!
Thank you for deciding to embark on this journey ^^
We’d like to share some stats and first impressions with you because without you, none of this would have been possible:
Nearly 7,500 brave souls signed up for the test!
Of those, over 2,000 have already spent time in our world.
On top of that, around 350 people log into the game daily.
We are pleasantly surprised! But most importantly – your feedback and attention to detail. Nearly 800 players didn't just finish the demo; they also completed the survey questionnaire, sharing their thoughts and impressions of the game. We are thrilled that so many people decided to help us.
What are your thoughts on the game?
After reviewing every one of your messages and survey responses, we've realized we're moving in the right direction. Because:
Of those who provided a rating, over 50% gave the game the highest score. 36.2% rated the game as "Good" (4 stars). However, we haven't forgotten about the remaining 12% of players who gave ratings between 3 and 1 star. The team has a clear-eyed view of what the game is currently lacking. The average playtime is 33 minutes, which aligns perfectly with the planned length of the demo version (25-30 minutes). This means you’re genuinely interested in seeing how it all ends ;)
What delights you the most is our art style (37% highlighted this as the strongest aspect) and the storyline (42%). We consider this an excellent result, as these aspects are among the most crucial for this genre.
What’s next?
Your feedback is our compass, guiding our development path. We’ve already compiled a list of adjustments: from minor bug fixes to improvements for certain mechanics and elements. First and foremost, we will:
Make the characters' dialogue more lively and natural;
Improve the crafting system to make it more intuitive;
Diversify the ambient sounds and add more tracks for the background music;
Add hints where they are clearly needed.
If you haven’t joined the testing yet – now is the time!

Thank you so much for your passion, your criticism, and your support.
