We've updated the demo!
UI Improvements
Responding to feedback that drag-and-drop was prone to misoperation, you can now play cards by clicking a card and then clicking its destination. Along with this change, zooming in on cards in your hand during a round is now exclusively done by right-clicking. Additionally, buildings with directional placement now have a dedicated rotation button.
Balance Updates
Significant balance adjustments have been made, primarily concerning soldiers (equipment). The main updates are as follows:
Adjustments for Soldiers
Villagers equipped with swords or bows now become soldiers. Soldiers have high attack power but cannot activate many buildings. This encourages players to more clearly distinguish between internal affairs (economy/development) and attack strategies.
Dojo
Instead of equipping bows on activation, bowmen now appear when the Dojo is played.
Siege Stronghold (Siege Lab)
Its effect has been changed; siege engineers now appear when the building is played. Siege engineers aren't particularly strong soldiers, but they have a 10% chance to destroy an opponent's building. Along with this change, the name has been updated.
Barracks (New Card)
Barracks have been added in place of the Ironworks. Barracks produce swordsmen.
Workshop
This building was rarely used, so it has been reworked. Soldiers who clear forests now become siege engineers.
Pirate Ship (New Card)
Produces swordsmen based on the number of surrounding sea tiles. This will be a powerful option for map-focused builds.
Militia barracks
Its effect has been changed to align more with its name's image, as its previous effect was too strong. The effect where all buildings become towers has been removed. Instead, bowmen now appear equal to the number of buildings you have. As they are bowmen, synergies related to projectiles should still be usable.
Future Plans for the Demo
This demo will be temporarily delisted at the end of June. It may be released again in the future to coincide with events.
