Hey Keepers!
We are excited to pull back the curtain on the development of Ocean Keeper and give you a first look at our version for the Steam Deck, which is currently in development. Our team has previously mentioned that Ocean Keeper will be released on the PC platform, but there has been a special interest among our beta-testers and players regarding the Steam Deck version.
As a versatile gaming platform, the Steam Deck offers the power of a PC with the convenience of a handheld device, allowing you to dive into games anywhere at any time.
🛠️ A Unified Gaming Experience
Our goal is to create a seamless and immersive experience, no matter where you choose to play. We're working hard to optimize Ocean Keeper for the Steam Deck's unique controls and features, ensuring that exploring the depths of the ocean feels just as intuitive and exciting on the go as it does on your PC.
Today, we're excited to give you a sneak peek at our progress. Although we're still in the early stages of development, we're committed to ensuring that the Steam Deck version of Ocean Keeper is just as polished and enjoyable as the original on PC.
Currently, our team has fully implemented Steam Deck input, which has allowed us to connect basic controls for the main game mechanics seamlessly. This means players can now experience smooth and responsive controls tailored specifically for the Steam Deck's unique hardware. Additionally, we've dedicated significant effort to optimizing the game for this platform, resulting in more stable FPS and minimized frame drops, ensuring a smooth and immersive gaming experience.
At the moment, our team is also working on integrating and configuring a feature like Haptic feedback. This will add an extra layer of immersion, allowing players to feel the impact of their actions within the game. We're fine-tuning this feature to enhance the overall gameplay experience, making interactions within Ocean Keeper more tactile and engaging.
Stay tuned for more updates! We have a lot more to show you as we continue to expand and enhance Ocean Keeper. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. We can't wait for you to join us on this new platform and experience the depths of the ocean like never before.
