The acquisition method for the Demon Archer was originally intended to evoke retro gaming, allowing players to communicate through cheat codes—much like the ‘Up, Down, Left, Right, B, A’ sequence in Contra. This approach aimed to bridge the gap between veteran and new players while offering the thrill of discovering hidden surprises.
However, this proved counterproductive, as many players disliked this approach, perceiving it as an AB version. After all, the Demon Archer is a discontinued character unobtainable through normal means. We take this feedback seriously and, following extensive discussions, have decided adjustments are warranted.
The changes are as follows:
1. Existing console commands remain active. Players may still unlock the Demon Archer via `unlockRetrainer 36` or `ThanksReward+ID`;
2. Additional acquisition methods for the Demon Archer and commemorative CG are introduced. Completing Endless Mode on any difficulty will automatically unlock them;
3. The in-game console will be unlocked, enabling deep parameter adjustments such as the Corpse Princess's Makeup Ritual transformation and Shattered Divine Jade quantities. Accessible via cloud storage download or QQ group invitation.
Additionally, players who contributed significantly through crowdfunding will receive a complimentary paid DLC as compensation. Please monitor official announcements for details.
Finally, our deepest gratitude to early investors and launch-day supporters. However you discovered our game, we hope you'll quickly grasp its essence: we strive to craft a thrilling experience brimming with ‘love’ – fun and visually captivating. This remains the ultimate pursuit of Corpse Princess: The Dream. We shall continue refining the game content and welcome your ongoing oversight.
