Hi everyone!
The playtest is now closed. Thank you for trying it out and providing your feedback!
Quick overview of the latest features that have been added to the game while the playtest was open:
Fireballs! When a robot hits the ball to bounce correctly on the court 5 times in a row, its next ball will become a fireball. If a fireball hits the receiving robot, that robot explodes and will lose the match immediately!
Upgrades window now shows the first 3 characters of the upgrade name and its level directly on the upgrade boxes
Match statistics window now shows the initial, difference and resulting match scores and robot points of both players for completed matches
Small ranking list window adjustments
Improved quit game pop-up
Sound effects during scene transitions, when tabs are switched in the settings menu and when interactive pop-ups open and close
Better music outside of tennis matches
Better readable list of existing savegames in load game menu
Bugfixes and improvements in scene transitions and interactive pop-ups
Based on your feedback, the top priority now will be to make the game much more beginner-friendly in the early stages of your robot career:
The overwhelming tutorial texts will be replaced with a much more interactive and easy to follow tutorial match
Initial attributes will be higher to allow for further robot movements and more precise hits in the first few matches
Certain advanced features (e.g. fireballs or corner pillars) will be introduced at some later stage in the game, and not everything all at once at the very beginning
