This update brings the last wave of changes in preparation of Progression Update 0.2.0.0. This will be a great time familiarize yourself with the new Inventory Upgrades in your Suit Modifier, the new and improved Stamina system as well as the Flashlight overhaul.
Here's the breakdown:
UPDATES
- Stamina Redesign – Stamina decreases based on how many items you are holding. Here is an example breakdown of how it works:
- No Items = Infinite Stamina.
- 1 item = 1 stamina per second.
- 6 items = 6 stamina per second.
- 2-handed item = 3 stamina per second.
- Stamina Regeneration rate increased by 60%.
- Reduced Stamina cooldown when reaching zero stamina from 2 seconds to 1 second
- Inventory System Update - Your Suit has a new Stat called “Carry Limit”. This stat can be upgraded 2 times with each upgrade costing 10 suit points. Each upgrade will grant you an additional action bar slot.
- Flashlight Redesign in preparation of 0.2.0.0
- Flashlight is now infinite. However, Night Vision is NOT.
- The Suit Modifier Flashlight Battery has been renamed to Night Vision Battery. This is both a Quality of Life and survival design decision as surviving the night should be scary and risky. Night Vision should be a conservative tool to help you spot deadly creatures and see better in extremely dark and dangerous locations.
- Base Night Vision Duration is 40 seconds.
- Each upgrade grants 12 seconds of duration.
- The Suit Modifier now displays tool tips when hovering over suit attributes to provide a deeper explanation of what the attribute does.
- Oxygen and Night Vision Battery now display seconds in the Suit Modifier so players know exactly how long each will last as they put points into them.
- Oxygen levels Low warning notification now pops up every 5 seconds after the first prompt up to 2 additional warnings to help remind players who might have missed the first warning message.
- Increased the Spawn Chance of plush from gathering (Crab, Gecko, Chameleon) from 5% to 15%. I hope this makes it a little easier to find them!
- You can now sprint in the forward direction with the Alcoholic Sketchy Substance while holding down the “backward key” to move forward. Sprinting with the forward key to move backwards has been removed.
- Loot Value Changes:
- Hazardous Container found in Level 3 value increased from 80 quota to 90 quota.
- Supplies Container found in Level 3 value increased from 50 quota to 80 quota.
- Sketchy Substance (Radiation) Tier 2 value increased from 100 to 140.
- Sketchy Substance (Alcohol) Tier 2 value increased from 70 to 110.
- Sketchy Substance (Dark Matter) Tier 2 value increased from 70 to 80.
- Sketchy Substance (Unstable) value increased from 100 to 130.
- Level 3 Loot Update – Level 3 no longer drops CRAPPY loot! Cereal, Dog Food, Pickles, and Jam have all been replaced with Sketchy Substances. The lowest valued item now looted from level 3 is 80 Quota.
- Map Updates in Preparation of 0.2.0.0
- Sector Zero has received an expansion of level 0 area that provides new areas to dig, herb, and mine.
- Players that fall from Level 1 Sector Zero will now be teleported to the level 1 teleporter so that they are not stuck with no way out.
- Port Coral and Treasure Island have received a small update to the North end of the Map (opposite direction from where you exit the ship).
- Removed an Ambient audio from Gaia that occurred in the Level 0 building at night.
FIXES
- Fixed an issue where Elizabeth would target a player immediately during possession rather than waiting for a short period first.
- Fixed an issue where Elizabeth would drop during possession and leave the player with a “Hands are full” message on their action bar.
- Fixed an issue where the “Access Granted” message would appear behind the Computer UI rather than in front.
- Fixed an issue with Juice Boxes and Coffee not healing on consumption.
- Fixed an issue where the blue Supplies Containers from Level 3 were not saving to the ship properly.
- Fixed an issue where the Crucifix item was not saving to the ship properly.
- Fixed an issue where the Cat delivery slap sound could be heard very far away.
- Removed a Level 3 building that was obstructed under the landscape in Port Ragnar making it unreachable.
When will 0.2.0.0 arrive?
I have not decided an exact date just yet, but I would like to have the Major Update out by the end of February. I am super excited for the progression update because its going to bring so much replayability and longevity to Sketchy's Contract. As always, I will provide more details as I get closer in the Discord Server and on my Twitch Streams so remember to join/follow to get those juicy details.
