I hope you all had a good start into the new year and are in the mood for an update. ːsteamhappyː
In short: The game engine has been brought up to date.
The descriptions of the achievements are now displayed.
The leaderboards for each table and game mode are in the game!
Game Engine:
At the start of the new year, I finally carried out a game engine update.
Surprisingly, it worked “almost” without any problems. I only had to rework a few things.
In the tests I carried out, “I” couldn't notice any negative differences in performance. However, if you notice anything while playing that was better before, please let me know.
Leaderboards:
The leaderboards are finally visible in the menu!
After much deliberation on how best to insert them, I have decided to add an additional window after the game mode selection.
So you select the table, then the game mode and then a new window appears showing the leaderboard for this mode (just one more click to get into the game).
There you can choose between 3 display types.
A Top10 display, where if you are not in the Top10, you will be shown in the 11 line with placement.
A placement display in which you and your competitors are displayed in the area surrounding your position.
And a friends display, where only the best-placed friends and you are shown.
Achievements:
The descriptions of the Achievements can now be seen in the table selection. So you no longer have to look in Steam to find out when you get an Achievement.
All of these things can of course be accessed using the game pad, keyboard or mouse.
