Hello Pinball friends!
The time has finally come:
The new pinball machine is ready!
It's called “Fight Back” and it's a remake of my classic “Time To Fight Back” from Malzbie's Pinball Collection.
Fight Back is a normal wide-body pinball machine with a dot-matrix display.
Fight Back has the same rules as its predecessor and has a similar structure.
Since Fight Back now has a normal wide-body dimension and is therefore much narrower than its predecessor, I had to adapt the playing field. But that's not a bad thing. In fact, I think it's really good.
But that's why, apart from the ramps, I was hardly able to adopt anything from the old design.
The DMD now also has a different size and a new resolution.
All animations were recreated for the new display and some new ones were added.
The textures are completely new. Some sounds and voices have been added.
And the most elaborate thing: the multiplayer mode is of course also included.
It was quite a challenge, because in the old pinball game nothing was repositioned, after a ball was lost. You picked up exactly where you left off.
I have adopted this principle for the multiplayer mode.
This means that everything that has lit up, is active or has been hit must be saved temporarily. And when it's the player's turn again, everything has to be set up as it was before.
That was a lot of work and led to a lot of errors, which I have of course fixed (hopefully). ;)
All in all, everything took a little longer than planned. But I'm done now and can enjoy the Christmas season.
Whether you are Christians or not, I wish you a Merry Christmas.
Have a good time and get well into the New Year!
Thank you for your trust and I hope you like the new pinball machine, too.
Next year we'll continue with lots of new ideas.
Have fun!
