Major Changes:
- We've changed how the default camera functions. The previous camera would not control the rotation of the player character and the character would turn towards the direction the player was running. In this release, the player camera will rotate the character (very similar to when target locked on an enemy). This allows the player to move in all directions while still looking forward, making block/parry much easier out of the gate.
- You can enable the legacy camera movement in the General tab of settings.
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where attribute points were lost if they were not spent before dying or leaving the game.
- Fixed an issue where Eladriel's Infested Forest is green for all levels, will now properly be based on level 20.
- Fixed an issue where Arne's Hidden Artifact quest was green at all levels, will now properly be based on level 20.
- Fixed an issue where tracked quest color difficulty was resetting after death.
- Fixed an issue where resolution scale was not saving properly when relaunching the game.
- Fixed an issue where spiders were incorrectly dropping wolf loot.
- Fixed an issue where items would not remove from inventory when selling many items at a time.
New:
- Added different animations for 2H swords and 2H maces.
- Added a new "guide path" in the tutorial to help guide players through each quest.
- Updated basic movement animations to look more fluid.
- Updated ranged movement while not aiming.
- Updated ranged movement while aiming (still working on crouching).
- Updated mage movement while not aiming.
- Updated mage movement while aiming.
- From now on, when no longer aiming with a bow, the arrow will be destroyed and no longer "prepped".
- Added a limit to how fast players can run backwards (this change is due to new camera movement not locking on input, also impacts when locked on target).
- Dealing damage with a melee ability (abilities that hit with weapons) now deal their weapon damage separately. This change allows for using a melee ability that applies a bleed, but yet will apply any weapon damage types as well. For example, dual wielding swords, one fire and one frost, using the ability rupture will not only do the physical damage and apply bleed from rupture, but apply fire and frost to the target.
- Added the option for legacy camera setting.
- Added new filtering options to vendor inventory (All/Weapons/Gear/Potions/Spells&Abilities/Misc).
- Added music/ambient sounds to tutorial level.
- Fixed some odd flickering with lighting in tutorial.
- Added a new Death screen after confronting Lucian.
- Adjusted Rangers AI logic to feel more fluid and they actively avoid enemies.
