Hey there! It's been a good while since SUSHIDO has released, and I figured it was high time to implement some fixes, rebalancing, and new features that didn't make it into the first release.
Let's get right into the breakdown of what's new in version 1.1:
- Controller compatibility - you can now play SUSHIDO with an Xbox controller! I daresay I prefer it to keyboard controls
- Performance optimization - the game now runs very smoothly under just about any circumstances
- Score multipliers - occasionally, the ability menu now gives you the choice to choose score multipliers, which add together over the course of a round
- Map balancing - enemy spawn locations and spawn rates have been tweaked to make them a little more predictable and fair to the player
- Momentum-based dashing - horizontal dashing now carries vertical momentum, allowing for some interesting and advanced movement
- Slight tweaks to some audio and visuals
That's about it! For now, SUSHIDO is going on hiatus so I've got room to divert my attention towards other projects. If you want to keep in touch and stay on track with my other work, check out my Discord server and join the community.
Thank you for playing SUSHIDO!
