Survivors, are you ready to uncover the hidden secrets of Liberty Grand Center?
In this dev log, we’re excited to introduce a new Lock and Unlock System that will provide you with a more strategic and immersive experience.
You’re about to face challenges beyond just defeating enemies. Now, you have the chance to find special keys or keycards to unlock doors and safes hidden throughout Liberty Grand Center, leading to exciting rewards.
Should you open every door you come across? Well, the treasure behind them may be tremendous, or you might encounter a powerful threat, no one knows for sure!
※Who knows? There might be something hidden behind the Tomato Statue※
[Key Elements of the Unlock System]
The unlock system is designed to take your gameplay to the next level, adding depth to the game beyond just combat.
The types of safes will become more varied over time.
The designs are not final and may be subject to change.
●A New Experience of Finding Hidden Treasures:
Instead of simply finding items, you’ll now be able to use special keys and keycards to unlock doors and safes and discover the treasures hidden inside.
Where you choose to use the key will be a significant decision.
Perhaps you’ll unlock the door to a secret lab, only to find yourself facing a powerful zombie.
●The Importance of Choice:
Remember, a single choice can change your fate.
While you may find some of the best treasures hidden in Liberty Grand Center, terrifying enemies might be lurking as well.
No one can guarantee that opening a locked area is the right decision.

● How to Use Items:
Once you obtain an unlock item, approach any locked door or safe.
Some locked objects will have a longer interaction time, requiring the survivor’s full concentration until the door finally opens.
If you let your guard down while opening the door, surrounding enemies may strike at any moment.
● Interaction and Visual Effects:
As you attempt to unlock a door or safe, an interaction timer will appear, showing the process of unlocking the object.
If you approach the lock with the wrong item, a message indicating the key mismatch will be displayed.
On the other hand, when you succeed, the door or safe will open, and you’ll face whatever is hidden behind it.

● Game Economy:
Unlock items are not just one-time consumables.
They can be bought and sold via the in-game marketplace.
The rare key you find may hold immense value among other survivors.
For example, one key might be the only key to access a location where a powerful zombie is sleeping, so be cautious when trading it.
● Unlock Items (Keycards and Keys):
These aren’t just regular security cards.
Keycards serve as critical keys that grant survivors access to the hidden secrets within Liberty Grand Center.
Without a keycard, you won’t be able to reach some of the most important places in Liberty Grand Center.
While the keys may seem familiar, the The Midnight Walkers logo and Mogenco corporation logo engraved on them symbolize much more than just unlocking mechanisms. These keys are directly connected to key elements of the game’s lore.
Soon, you’ll encounter an even greater variety of locked doors and safes, with powerful enemies and unimaginable rewards hidden inside.
Where will you use your key? That decision is yours.
