SBSR on the line! Ahead of the New Year, we’ve gathered the most accurate answers to the most pressing questions and spiced them up with some truly wonderful artwork.
Where have you been? No news for a while!
Where are the roads?
Right now, we’re actively preparing a build for publishers, as well as working on a pitch and presentation. This version takes up all of our attention.
It’s a build with the core mechanics. Everything essential is collected there to show how the game feels and works overall.
At the same time, we’re already talking with publishers and considering different options to choose what’s best for the game. This version only needs a bit more polishing, and after that we’ll be able to move on to preparing a playtest build for players. As soon as there’s news, we’ll share it.
What about the demo?
Pick up packages, carry packages, load packages
Well, here’s the thing. Initially, we planned to make a small game with a couple of puzzles and mini-games.
But you stirred things up so much on the internet that now we simply can’t make it small.
Over many months, the game has changed a lot, and right now we’re moving at full speed toward a publisher build. After that, we’ll work on a playtest version for players.
Throw it on the roof!
Be sure to sign up. If anyone was worried, we haven’t given access to anyone yet, so you definitely haven’t missed anything.
Send your request on the game’s Steam page.
Nice place here
What kind of help do you need?
Deliver it! Don’t lose it on the way!
Tell your friends about the game, like, repost, add it to your Steam Wishlist. And sign up for the playtest.
That’s where your help will really matter to us.
Will it be on consoles? Mac? Steam Deck? Which stores? Can I buy it at a local shop?
Legend!
Steam will be the first store, and we want to support Steam Deck right at release.
Everything else will be considered as our capabilities allow. So if you ask, Do you want to release on X? the answer will most likely be Yes.
Will there be a first-person view?
We actually ran an experiment like that. It looked very strange.
In reality, a first-person view would make development about three times harder. We remind you that we’re a small team of just a few people, so we decided to focus on a single camera.
Controller support?
A bucket of bolts, what’s there to twist anyway?
Absolutely. Moreover, the game is being designed with gamepad controls in mind from the very beginning.
But don’t worry, we won’t forget about mouse and keyboard either.
Will there be real cars? UAZ, VAZ, Volga?
Classics, only the boss has those!
We’d really love to, but that’s a huge legal effort that we definitely can’t handle. And globally, only a few teams do this.
Most importantly, don’t be upset. Our goal is different: to make every vehicle evoke warm feelings, regardless of what badge is on the hood.
What mechanics will there be?
Take only what you really need!
Game development is a long process, and everything is constantly changing.
Right now, we’re testing Vasiliy a lot. We drive him through fields, sink him in puddles, throw suitcases around, and check how he feels and what can be improved.
It’s important for us to make the game carefully and with quality, so we’re not rushing and we’re experimenting a lot.
Fishing, grilling shashlik, and car collecting will definitely be there.
Will you take part in exhibitions?
I’d like to go fishing too.
We’d really love to. It would be great to meet you in person, or at least part of the community.
If a suitable opportunity comes up, we’ll definitely try to take part.
When is the release?
When is the release? Well, we’re already discussing it.
It’s too early to talk about a release date, but we’re moving toward it through clear stages.
Right now it’s the publisher build, then a playtest for players, and after that we’ll talk about timelines.
We truly appreciate your patience. You genuinely influence the game!
