Greetings, children of the night!
Today, I'd like to introduce you to one of the really cool features we've added to Version 1 of Blood Bar Tycoon: adaptive music. But what the hell does that mean?
Our sound studio and sound programmer took on the challenge of creating musical variations for each bar theme. That means 14 variations for each of the two in-game tracks, resulting in a total of 28 different music variations.
But we didn’t stop there: we took it even further! Those 14 variants will seamlessly blend together to reflect your four main bar themes. This means that four different versions of a track will mix dynamically, influenced by the theme distribution of your bar.
If that sounds a bit confusing, here’s an example:
Let’s say your bar is 50% Western, 25% Biker Metal, 15% Dark, and 10% Disco. The music will primarily focus on the Western theme, with elements of Biker Metal, and subtle touches of Dark and Disco. And trust me: the result is amazing!
Some of our playtesters even started designing their bars based on the music they liked best. How cool is that?
Oh, and some of you have asked if the soundtrack will be available separately. Yes! We're working on a DLC with the official soundtrack, because you asked for it! However, it won’t launch at the same time as V1, since we finished the soundtrack a little too late to align with Steam’s approval process.
