Updated UI
UI gets some well deserved love this update, with improvements to Song Select and a redesigned Results screen!
Song Select now has a background, indicators for which song and difficulty are selected, as well as some miscellaneous changes(See full patch notes below for more information)
Results screen gets the same background treatment, as well as a new layout!
Editor Improvements
The editor's Effect system was pretty confusing. You could tell it was built as a devtool first and users second. This update takes the first steps on making it more user friendly with changes to value scaling. New maps will use an absolute value system, instead of the previous relative 0-100%, with clearly defined min, max, and default values for each output type, as well as having only one output per channel. The editor manual has also been updated for your reference. Preexisting maps will continue to use the old system. The game and editor will automatically recognize them.
Bugfixes and Other Improvements
This update includes improvements to various parts of the game, and more bugs have been squished, mostly related to the editor and UI. Some of these have existed for a very long time, sorry if you have been affected by any and for the long delay between patches.
See full patch notes below for more information.
That's it for this update! See you next time.
Thank you for playing Soundelta!
