We're trying to adapt the current version of the game to any feedback we get at the moment, and we've heard you. This update is trying to cater specifically towards features that players were missing or felt were incorrect, particularly regarding Gamepad Controls, but there are several new features for players on KBM as well. :)
Quality of life:
- Sensitivity Sliders: The default sensitivity on Gamepad controls is understandably too high for some of you, and you were missing control over it - that's why you can now customize your Sensitivity both for KBM as well as Controller/Gamepad via Sliders in the Main Menu under Settings, or in the Pause Menu directly.
- Remapped Gamepad-Controls: No more need for questions on how to enter the pause menu - we've tried to adapt to universal control standards on Gamepads. The pause Menu is now on the Start Button. Since you enter an Arcade Game with the East Face Button, you now quit it with the South Face Button (Nintendo Layout A/B, Playstation Layout Circle/X, XBox Layout B/A).
- Enhanced Controls Screen: Several button inputs were still missing on the current Controls screen both for KBM as well as Gamepad in the Main Menu and Pause Menu - but they have been added to it now! Additionally, the current buttons have been updated and the new buttons for Gamepad controls have also been added to Controls Screens within the Arcade Games.
- Skipping: If you are replaying the game, or you get tired of all the Hub-Interactions, or you cannot get over one of the Arcade Games (though you could turn on Casual Mode from the Pause Menu), you can skip this part of the game entirely. To do that, just hit the F-Key on KBM or the right D-Pad Button on Gamepad Controls (skipping forwards, get it?). Doing this in the Hub Area immediately upon starting the game skips the opening and turns on all the lights of the Arcade Hall. Doing it again after this skips the Llama Drama game and instantly triggers the post-game dialogue. Doing it again after that skips the Jumping Witch game and instantly triggers that post-game dialogue. And finally, doing it again after this skips the Hooked on Art game and instantly triggers the game's ending sequence. Doing it in the first Arcade Game skips one level each time, skipping three times triggers the first twist, skipping three times again triggers the boss fight. Feel free to play around with it and control what part of the game you want to play!
Bugfixes:
- Player gets pushed off at start of Hooked on Art when using Gamepad controls
- Skipping in Hub causes unexpected behavior while camera is disabled
- Missing Collider on Pinball Machine
- Flipped normals on Arcade Machine
That's all the news we've got for you for now. Don't worry, we're already hard at work on upcoming features!
