This week, I've got two new screenshots; a first look at the Deployment Phase and a change we've made to the Action Menus! At the beginning of a battle, you will enter the Deployment Phase, in which you can choose which units you'll be deploying for the map. You can also view the map to take a look at enemy information, or manage items and classes through the Crew menu. This is still an early version, so it might look vastly different the next time you see it!

Second, we've restructured the Action Menus to be more vertically compact, and eliminate the problem of some classes having way too many skills for a single menu to reasonably hold (especially since they can only display five elements at once right now). Now, the top level will always include Move, Attack, Skills, Items and End Turn. Under Skills, we now have the previously top-level skill categories, such as Magic Weaving and Conceptualization, or Thief's Thievery and Dirty Fighting.

The Action Menu can now expand once more for a total of three menus. We've been on the fence about making this change in the past, but with the implementation of Items coming closer we've realized that in order to structure the Items menu in a good way we'll need three menus. With that, we decided to change up Skills at the same time.
Finally, in the same screenshot I have most of the Sword Weaponskills visible. We're a bit short on icons, so please forgive the overuse of the red sword for now. As a quick refresher, weapon ranks are different to class ranks, so a character that gains ranks in Sword while classed as Knight can carry over those ranks and skills when classed as Enchanter. Weaponskills are a bit simpler than class skills, due to their wide availability, but offer a variety of additional options for classes.
That's all I've got for you this week; thanks for tuning in, and I'll be back next week with more updates!
