Hello everyone! We are just releasing the update 0.8.1! These were great weeks of work, and we could implement a big feature, which took almost the entirety of the development time... the Encyclopedia!, Please take a look at the changelog. We have included some images :)
Changelog
What's new?
- You can now check the Encyclopedia! There you can find information about all the enemies, towers, walls, spells, and superior gems that you have unlocked, and all those that you didn't unlock yet. Of course, you will need to discover them before seeing their details ;D
We may be bringing some more details in a future post dedicated to it :). Anyways, you can try it right now!
- You can now see the superior gems chosen in the run! So you will not forget what you picked anymore!
- Previously, the extractor implosion effect was great, but it didn't feel right, because nothing happened after exploding, it was like it wasn't built at all... Well, not anymore! Now it will leave a hole of corruption after exploding! As well as some corruption energy and cracks on the ground.
- 2 new tips were added to the game. One about maze building that teaches a good strategy for placing walls. Which includes a picture! And another one about changing the tower's target priority.
- New enemy alerts and new tip alerts are now animated! This makes them look better while also calling a bit the attetion so you don't miss them ;)
- In addition to that, if a new tip alert wasn't clicked in 30 seconds, a cute "Click me" indicator will appear.
Balancing
- Reduced swarm waves' enemies amount from 2.5x to 2x
- Swarm waves will now appear after wave 7 instead of 4.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue with some sounds not being updated with their respective volume sliders.
- Fixed an issue where destroying an archer tower with the Demolish spell while having the "Quick, Give me an arrow!" skill was allowing the player to place infinite free archer towers.
- Fixed Bharisia's teleport VFX appearing on the ground instead of on her.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the enemies' death particle effects to not work properly when running the game at 120+ fps (come on, Unity...).
Other
- Removed the green texts that indicated the current cumulative sum of some statistics from the superior gem descriptions. It was confusing and sometimes didn't even reflect the real value. Also it is not needed anymore because we can see the stats directly in the towers and in the encyclopedia. yes! You can see the base stats of the towers in the encyclopedia, but also how much you improved them with your skills!
Why not 0.8.0?
Well... we made a 0.8.0 release to our beta channel, but we find out there was a critical error happening on the encyclopedia under certain... cirmcustances. So we fixed the issue and made a new release. Since the 0.8.0 was taken by the bugged release, and this was a hotfix, 0.8.1 was the ideal number!
Thank you all for reading till here! We love you! Are you interested in seeing how the encyclopedia works? Download the demo and be the first one to complete the available items in the encyclopedia!
