We are proud to announce the inclusion of the Active Battle System in The Dawning Clocks of Time Remake Demo! This is an early, functional preview of what is to come in the full game.
Depending on Sven's emotional feelings towards characters that appear in the Effect Reel Slots, bonuses such as Extra Attack Damage and time slowdown / speedup of the Dawning Rune take effect during battles. Based on luck and your experience point multiplier, this can greatly affect the outcome of battles making them much more interesting and dynamic.
The system is not feature complete yet, but we are glad the battles are heading in the right direction. You can also see damage dealt, current EXP and helpful hints on how to use combat to your advantage. You'll hear a sound effect when time has slowed or sped up, along with the Dawning Rune in the corner indicating the current flow of the battle.
As always, we welcome your feedback on helping us to deliver a truly amazing experience in September.
