Today we will share information about what we are currently working on.
But first, let us tell you about the new feature in Steam for creating separate pages for demo versions of games. They look almost the same as the pages of standalone games. We decided to give it a try, and now the Check Inn demo version has its own page:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2963670/Check_Inn_Demo/
An important feature of the demo versions presented on a separate page is the ability to write reviews. Therefore, if you have already tried the demo - please leave a review there. And if you haven't tried it yet - it's the perfect time to catch up!
Guest reviews of their hotel stay
We decided to add guest reviews. When a guest checks out of the hotel, they leave a review of the hotel, giving it a rating on a five-point scale. Their rating is taken into account in the overall rating of the hotel, which can be seen at any time. When calculating the rating, various parameters are taken into account: the speed of their check-in, how quickly they got to the room by elevator, the speed of service (such as sauna, food delivery and laundry), the temperature in the room during their stay (on levels with variable temperature). It will be possible to open a separate window and read text reviews, which in some cases will help you understand what you need to pay attention to when developing the hotel. At the end of the level, this final rating will be used in the leaderboard as the player's main competitive indicator, that is, it will serve as a multiplier to all the other parameters when counting up your total score.
Free mode
We are working on a special mode that will be perfect for players who like long gaming sessions. Here you will be able to choose the difficulty level, hotel star rating and background that suits you. However, hotels and backgrounds in free mode are unlocked by completing regular levels. You will be able to compete with other players for a place in the leaderboard. Moreover, the higher the difficulty level, the more opportunities you have to score more points.
As you can see, we are continuing development at the same active pace. There is not much time left before the game is released in early access. And we will announce the exact release date of the game soon in a separate post. So, stay tuned!
